With these two programmes YES works with partner agencies to utilise their different fields of expertise.  This equips the young people with the necessary skills to tackle real life situations such as job searching, further education and training, and finding out about independent living benefits. 

Maximise

Maximise is a project jointly funded by BBC Children in Need and The Hunter Foundation for young people aged between 14 and 19 aimed at developing the confidence and interpersonal skills of groups of young people through process of creating, planning and running their own business.

The main programme covers 4 key phases:

  • Business Theory and Presentation Skills
  • Production and Marketing
  • Wind-down/Closure of Business Venture
  • Consolidation of Learning and Personal Action Plan

Optimise

Big Lottery FundOptimise is a project funded by the Big Lottery Fund for young people aged between 16 and 25.  The primary target client group is looked after and accommodated young people, including young offenders and care leavers.  YES also works with young people who are out with the standard school regime, attending specialist programmes or institutions.

The programme is delivered by specialist YES facilitators, and is aimed at developing the confidence and interpersonal skills in groups of young people through the process of creating, planning and running their own business.
