Young Offenders Print E-mail

Our Mean Business Programme has evolved from a number of the current stable of YES courses and is targeted at young offenders.  The programme runs in three specific phases and is designed to take a team of students through the main steps of setting up a business, running a profitable venture and liquidation of the business.  It has been designed to address a wide range of needs, more especially those of students who, through life chances or choices, are marginalised from mainstream education and employment.

The main strength of the Programme is the identification of latent 'soft skills' and the ability to bring these skills to the fore in the student group.  The students develop and apply soft and cross-curricular skills which can lead to re-engagement in mainstream curricular subject areas, or prepare them for the world of work.
