Through the YES Company Programme, which involves young people setting up and running their own company in school, Dimension, from
The magnet has spaces for a child’s name and the day of the week and for recording the number of portions of fruit and vegetables they have eaten, alongside a section for the rewards that await once every day has been ticked off. The book, Handful for Harry, tells a simple story about a character faced with unhealthy food at school, as well as activities and recipes.

Dimension qualified for the UK Finals by winning the Scottish Finals in June 2008. There, they impressed the judges with their presentation, report, trade stand and unique egalitarian staff structure to take top prize against other companies of a similarly high standard such as GoEco from Shetland which produced environmentally-friendly canvas bags, NuNu Teddies from the Western Isles with their bears wearing traditional Harris tartan (created by a previous Young Enterprise company!) and L.E.D (Limited Edition Designs) from Glasgow with their t-shirts designed by graduate art students.

Patrick Boyer said: “Healthy eating is important everywhere so we’re having the magnets translated into German, Spanish and French.”
Aside from this, it was also a fun experience and the team got to experience an ice bar, amusement park and experience running a trade stand at an international trade fair.
The Dimension team, of 5th and 6th years, was supported at all stages of the Company Programme by Link Teacher Margaret Rhynas, Business Advisers Roddy Dyce and Angus Morrison and the Highland Board, in particular Chair Linda Thomas.
