About YES Print E-mail

A registered Charity in Scotland, with limited liability, we have operated throughout Scotland for over 30 years. During this time we have worked with schools, educationalists and business volunteers to deliver practical learning programmes designed to provide young people aged 5-25 with a real-life experience of the world of business, employment and economics.

Our vision is to reach all young people in Scotland, whether they are in school, in secure or residential establishments, in Young Offender Institutions or at university, to prepare them for their future participation in further education, training or employment and as inclusive citizens.

The Company Programme, one of our key programmes, involves young people aged 16-18 setting up and running their own company, in doing so learning about all aspects of business such as market research, finance, sales, production or service provision, customer service and HR.  Young people receive support from a link teacher and a business advisor and we have a network of over 600 volunteers across Scotland who support the delivery of the programme.

Area Boards

Young Enterprise Scotland has a unique volunteer network of over 600 business people and educationalists from across Scotland and includes over 200 Area Board members. This network of eighteen Area Boards across Scotland ensures that geography is never a barrier to participation and ensures local schools are supported and managed.
